Chiclayo: Travel agency brochure.

Chiclayo, also known as the "Friendship city" is a great place to visit and spend some days enriching about the culture. Because honestly, you would learn a lot in this place, not only of it´s culture but also value some wonderfull backgrounds. It´s the part of the north most visited. It has over 200 thousand people.

On our trip we visited some wonderful places that you wont regret to go and see them. First we went to Huaca Rajada:

Here we were able to saw different legacies that were left by the culture. The told us about the cultures that remain in the city: first came the "lambayeque culture", then came the "chimu" cuture and finally the "inca" culture. Here you would see the remains of the Lord of Sipan.

Then there is Tucume, also known as the valley of the pyramids. This was one of the best parts of the trip. We made some activities, some went to discover some rest at arqueology; there was also the "repujado" activity: in here we learned how did people of that area did their ornaments with a character that they believed in. They had the Naylamp God, which according to them with his arrived civilization went better. It´s why they have some rests with bird symbols, beacause he was half human, half bird.

You will be able of seeing this during your walk.

Also you have a wonderful place, the Pomac forest. It´s located 38 km from Chiclayo and has 5800 hectares. Here it grows the "algarrobina", it´s very popular for this product.

Finally, here you can see the ancient tree, there is a mith that tells that if you are able of touching this tree, like huging it you will carry like a good vibe.

So, definitely if you want to have a good time and are ready to enrich your mind with facts about the culture, you must visit this place; you won´t regret.

  1. Nice work Sandra. There could be more persuasive, sales-type language to really make this seem like a travel brochure for the area, but you have covered a range of places to see and things to do, and a little about the culture.
