Chapter 1: Summary

Chapter 1:
After the drunk farmer Mr. Jones goes to sleep, all the animals on the farm are called for a meeting by old Major. Old Major a pig with a majestic look and a very wise animal wanted to communicate to the other animals of the farm his strange dream he had had.

On this expected speech he shares his wisdom with the other animal making them realize all the hard work the do for the humans and how little they are having back, old Major describes how humans steal everything that animals produce and they only receive back enough food to keep them alive, and finally that when they are not more useful for humans they would be cruelly slughthered.

So he highlights the explotation received from farmers to animals, in benefit of the human race. And the source of all their problems are cause of them (human beings) and in spite the fact of that they are the Lords. He incentivates a revolutionary spirit. Old Major wants the animals to have always present that animals are comrades and that humans are their enemies, and they should never live in a house and finalizes with "all animals are equal". And when he would start telling about his dreams, he says he cant describe it but that it remembers him to a song that he learned when he was a little pig. The song tells of the day humans are finally down, when slavery and cruelty has gone to an end and finally when animals are free. The animal get together and sang all together like one until they are interrupted by a shotgun from the farmer that woke up. The farm returns to normal.

  1. Nice summary. Extra credit for this project!

Be careful with your spelling, "cruelly slughthered." Also with your punctuation, "Old Major, a pig with a majestic look and a very wise animal, wanted to communicate..." - this should have commas to separate out the extra information about Major.

Good use of present tenses to describe the action as it occurs in the story.
